A Word From Jim Ponek.... This Club has been established to provide the members of the team an opportunity to develop their Volleyball Skills and to be part of a positive competitive sports program. We will help assist members of our team and families to get information on how to find Colleges and opportunities for obtaining scholarships or partial scholarships. Our Team concept of the Smashers Club Volleyball is Dedication, Respect, Team, Fun and the Next Point Understanding... When mistakes are made on the court, get over it, NEXT POINT... As a team we do not get mad or negative at making a mistake, or a team mate making a mistake. Move On, Next Point... Have Fun...

Team Policies - Telling it like it is… Commitment to attend all Practices and Games. Exception with pre-notice, players will be allowed nine (9) misses during the entire season (this includes sick days). Being late for a Practice counts for a ½ of a miss. Nine (9) misses is being realistic for the six (6) months of Club Volleyball. However be smart on how you use your (9) misses. Ten (10) misses will cause for removal from the team AND NO REFUND. It is estimated that the average player will use five (5) misses during the season for sick days, doctor appointments, school obligations, family commitments etc… Just be honest with your coach and team director. Communication is important in this long club season.. Great Attitude - At all times… It is expected that you will always have a great attitude and show respect for your coach, teammates, parents and other teams. No Drama, No Getting Upset at your coach or teammates! Do not get upset if you do not get your way. Positive Sportsmanship. Lose with your head up and with a smile. Win with a respect for the game and the other team… Understand the Next Point Concept. If you make a mistake, get over it - Next Point… Education is a priority; participants must keep their grades up.

College Intentions - (For 18 & Under players only) For players interested in possibly playing college volleyball, for an additional fee, our club team will help you with developing a recruiting Video, with completing college recruitment applications and other assistance with getting in contact with colleges. Cost is $50.00 due on Sunday November 25, 2007

At any time during the season, the Coach and Team Director have the right to dismiss any player from the team for not following the policies of the team. No refund will be given to players dismissed from the team.
